Turkeys in the CopiiPwee had somewhat seriously considered asking Alwe to be his Mate. But there were a few things that made it not possible.
First, Alwe was one of the scientist's Kaosmen, and seemed pretty loyal. Raising their first litter in the scientist's facilities was a pretty good indicator of that. But that loyalty was one of the draws Alwe had for Pwee (right alongside of the running!)
Second, Pwee was loyal to the Copii, Auder and Roger. So he wouldn't leave them any more than Alwe would the doctor.
Third, those labs were rather far away from Copii lands, and Pwee could handle visits, but wasn't so keen on being so far away from the pack for so long.
Fourth, he wasn't entirely sure Alwe would go for it. No point in suggesting such a thing if it would only cause trouble.
And finally, he wasn't sure he'd get Auder, Rotger or the doctor's approval either.
But he wanted to.
"BIT! Bit, Bit, Bit, Bit, Bit!" Renner ran to catch up to
Red, purple and black, with a dash of orangeShe thought he was adorable. The uniform didn't hurt, though her brothers would tease that that was the main part of the draw. It was a goodly part, but Apawi honestly thought Wasik was just adorable. In looks and attitude.
The uniform in question was of GUARD, so seeing him was less frequent than she'd like to be honest, but after she was able to talk him into dating, she was okay with the distance. Time spent with him was enough to make up for it. His family apparently had a healthy showing in the military- both parents in GUARD's precursor (and later in GUARD), maternal grandfather in the Alarcian military, and various other family members.
Knowing that only increased her fondness for him. Having strong principles was a very good thing for Apawi.
Not being scared of a possibly large-ish family would also be a plus, so when she got serious enough about him, she quietly but firmly told Wasik that children should happen fairly early on in her life. &
My future in a beautiful faceTo some, it was near-cliche. And Lene and Radclyffe sure heard their fair share from their band-mates. But it didn't change the fact that they'd developed a fondness for one another, that went beyond friendship, and grew into love.
They were a comfortable pair, and often had opportunity to just cuddle. There were occasions where there was a person who approached one or the other with intent for romance, but they could stave off all but the most persistent with the information of 'I'm already seeing someone.' Those last few were the ones that caused problems, but a grumpy Govinda could spook them off.
At a mutually agreed time and place, the two decided they would make it formal. The hard part was in dealing with the others in the band wanting to put their two cents in. And the public wanting to as well.
Because of the metaphor of growth, instead of a shawl, feather or dowry exchange, they agreed to use the Sracknai method of proposal. Yes, he still g
Cherries and ChocolatePippin did a lot of their work for conventions; costumes for this character or that. It was a lot of fun and they really enjoyed it. Obviously, not everyone they met at the conventions would be those dressed up or interested in doing so, but Pippin didn't mind in either case. It had been a few years of working the trade they did before Pippin would have an actual booth at a convention. Talked into it by a couple of friends, they had a few pieces set ready for people to buy, but were mostly interested in having people approach to have something made to have sent to them later.
They were both lovely ladies, happy and chattering as they walked around the convention-goers. Pippin saw them as Pippin was roaming around themself, on a break from the booth tucked away in the deeper parts of the convention. The two girls didn't seem like they were lost, but who knew?
That conversation had sparked a few others, exchange of numbers and a nice, strong friendship
Not that they're quoting parablesConsidering how much time she spent listening to people, it really wasn't surprising to her that her favorite thing to do with the person who was rating pretty high on her favorite persons list (only her parents consistently rated higher, but it was a different list anyway, so did it even count?) was to listen to him. He was most often speaking in tones of happiness and wonder, calmly sharing things he was happy with, and it made for a nice down-shift from the high tensions she heard about at work. No, this didn't mean she was unhappy with her work by any means. Just that anyone could need a wind-down from something like that.
And Vili was a good one. Good friend, good company, good cuddler- so she was hoping no one minded too badly that she wanted to 'take him off the market' as it were. She started it off by smiling warmly and asking him how he felt about dating her. And after a period of them dating, she would repeat the warm smile (smart man prob
VioletsHe was someone that snuck up on her. Metaphorically, anyway. It'd be a completely different story had he done it literally. In fact, never had he literally snuck up on Neema, and that was one of the many things she appreciated about Tasin.
She'd already had a pup with Fien, another good friend, and was happily taking care of Cael when she realized that she was really quite fond of Tasin. As in, lifetime fond of him. She hadn't had a Dream, but that was okay, the power behind them actually kind of scared her. She had a great respect for them, but they also intimidated the fur off her tail.
Still, even as good of friends as they were, and as much as Neema had realized she'd like more, it wasn't really in her nature to instigate things. At least, not in an explicit fashion.
So she just made a habit of having Tasin's favorite foods near to hand whenever she could, and would happily share. Or, since Cael enjoyed chatting with him sometimes, (a
Just come right on out and say itIt wasn't normally his thing to take photographs of snow- not in the form of fields of it with just the roll of the land to show the movement across space. He'd taken a fair few on his early visits to Yaolzerac with the camera, but after documenting a few phenomena, he saved snow shots for assignments and special occasions.
So it was a little surprising when he had a dream where he had photo after photo of snow. In the dream, the snow generated a warm feeling of contentment, and happiness. An urge to go find the subject and hug it.
Upon waking that feeling was odd as all get out, so he just wondered if he was coming down with something. At least until he was talking to the Tribe Shaman in passing a few days later. And that's when he learned it was that Mate Dream thing.
Who did he know that was a lot like snow?
Well, that just meant finding all of the Bemy on Cruix who were pale in coloring and making friends. No hardship in his eyes, he liked sharing affe
AspartameAs a landscaper, Hal saw a lot of yards. Front yards, back yards, some small and precious, others large and pride-worthy. And his employers were generally called in for creating new pride displays or maintaining them. There were some people they worked with that left Hal asking 'why?' and others that had him wishing they could go back.
He knew Icai and Aspi outside of his work as a landscaper, because they were part of the same tribe. Both were lovely ladies (who resembled one another a great deal- go figure the genetics siblings got, right?) and did lovely work, caring for children not only of the Yololitzli, but of the general public as well.
He admired her- them- their work so much that whenever his boss started taking suggestions for the annual 'pro-bono' project (a nice publicity thing, and also done because the guy was that nice- and would do more but for the fact that the accountant would throw fits), Hal slipped the name of Icai and Aspi's day care into
Just the right sunblockShe'd had dreams before of being less jumpy, of seeing just fine in all hours of the day. And somewhere in the dream, she'd realize it was because there was something different about her, something about her own self had changed, and it made the dream not as nice in Ruka's eyes.
But this dream, even squinting in the sunlight, and not being able to see properly, she was relaxed. There was someone just in front of her, not blocking the light, but making her feel comfortable enough that she could just walk behind them and know that there wouldn't be anything to trip her up. She was going to make it from point A to point B just fine. She liked that feeling and tried to get a better look at the person, but the sunlight was too bright, so all she could get was the warmth of their back pressed to her face.
Bringing it up idly to her father had her relatively quickly seeking out the Shaman, who suggested it was a Mate Dream, with the strangeness of it. Seei
