Teyanisha was born in a litter of three.  She was the one who dove into things first, up until she realized how much trouble they could be.  And then she found ways to talk her siblings into diving in for her.  Whenever anyone other than her mother tried to tell her what to do, she had a balking streak meters wide- up until the family Clowder sat her down and told her what that kind of behavior would get her in the end.

So the little girl settled down- at least a little.  She liked the support of her Clan, and wasn't keen on being evicted, so she knew she had to at least pretend to heed orders.  So instead, she just found ways to make it look like she'd at least tried to follow the requests and demands of the adults, but that something had come up.  She got quite good at it too.  Though , if there was anything Teyanisha was absolutely gifted at, it was her shifting, and she was not in the slightest afraid to use that to her advantage (not that there was anything she was afraid to use to those means, mind).

It was good luck to all concerned when Teyanisha encountered an older Felidae scavenging through old clothing and pulling out select pieces, as it opened up a new fascination for her.  She'd never not back talk, but having the option of going to find new cloths, clothes and materials to play with or re-make into things; well, that was about enough to get her to behave (though there was still quite a bit of the 'well I triiiiied' aspect going on.)

Teyanisha finished school, maybe not with the greatest of grades, nor the largest numbers of friends, but she finished.  She did have a few friends; notably those with similar interests, and those friends (one at least had much higher grades and a bit of a business sense) were able to get her to fall in line enough that with some work with a pre-existing practitioner, all four were able to put together a business of their own that allowed them to dig through cast offs and pick out what they thought would sell, or what they wanted to keep.

Teyanisha left the business and customer service aspects to her friends, and focused on gathering stock.  She was canny enough (though her grades might have led folk to think otherwise- but those weren't important to her) to talk a fair number of people out of things they might have been a little reluctant to part with; and to leave the costs to the business-minded members of the crew (whenever those arose).  She considered herself in no part involved with the running of the endeavor; finding it easier to just be an employee who'd been one of the 'first hires.'

All in all, the whole shebang was fairly profitable for the group in specific, and for the Heart Clan as a whole, so it gave Teyanisha's mother and Clowder some relief in what that wild little lady got up to otherwise.
